Beth and Leta,
The lesson should be up soon. Typically we post them on Tuesday, but if we’re running late it might be a couple of days from now. My best advice is just to keep checking back.
When will lesson # 9 be posted? Thanks for all you do.
You have always help me prepare my lessons and I was wondering when lesson #10 scriptures will be out. Thank you
Hi Janell, I just posted #10. Hope it helps!
I love your ideas. They really help, I appreciate all the work that goes into them. It would really help if you could post them a little earlier. Sometimes you have music suggestions, etc and it is too late to arrange it for our ward or make use of the library by the time I can get the lesson. Do you have others that feel the same way? Thanks again. I will gladly use anything whenever it is posted, but it would be nice to get it a little earlier.
Hey ladies, Anyone had any luck finding a lesson help for lesson #11 “The Life of Christ”! I’m on a bit of a time crunch! Help!!!
Katy, it’ll be up tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for your patience!
I am teaching the lesson on Priesthood this Sunday and wondered when you were going to post the lesson. I enjoy your helps, they are wonderful. By the way Elder Boyd K Packer gave a talk in April 1992 on What Every Elder Should Know–and Every Sister as well: A Primer on Principles of Priesthood Government that was very heloful to me.
I believe it’s scheduled to be posted sometime today.
Wow, this is site is quite the undertaking! I must say, this is not a breath of fresh air, but cool water to the lips of a thirsty young girl!
I’m a young new wife, and life is great. However, I thought my husband was the only one out there who didn’t think my ideas and desire to make changes was inherently bad. I love this magazine & blog. How do I join?
When will lesson ideas for LEsson #14 be posted. I am teaching on this next Sunday and need some more helps for my lesson.
When will lesson 16 be posted? Your help is appreciated. I teach lesson 16 this Sunday August 15. Thanks for all your help.
I’m teaching lesson #17 this coming Sunday, Sept 12. Will you have your ideas and outline out soon? I really love this site and the different perspectives on the RS lessons. The additional information really enhances my lessons and gives the sisters something to think about. Thanks again!
This latest issue of The Exponent, with all the paintings and photographs, is a work of art itself. It’s truly fine!!
Zoe
Thanks, Zoe!
Does anyone have any thoughts on the Presidency’s message for October? I am a new RS teacher and I just want to know if anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to go about presenting this. I’m so nervous cause I don’t know if I can teach. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Lucy
Hi Lucy,
The presidency messages are generally determined locally, so each stake or ward may choose something different. Out of curiosity, what’s your topic?
Hi Caroline. Thanks so much for responding. I didn’t know that the message is different depending on the stake or ward. I thought it was the same for everyone. The Topic is on Pres. Henry B. Eyring’s talk in the April 2010 conference. “Help Them on Their Way Home.”
I’ve read some of your lesson ideas and outlines. I am so grateful that there is a place like this for sharing ideas and knowledge. Like I said in my comment before, I am a new teacher. I’m learning as I go. I will be teaching Lesson #19 this coming Sunday, October 31. It seems like an easy enough Topic, but any additional suggestions or ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for all the work and love you all put into this to help us newbys become better teachers.
Just wondering when Lesson #23 might be posted? I have to teach it this Sunday and would love some ideas! Thanks Becca
Just wondering when Chapter 26: Sacrifice. Will be available. Thank you
Just wondering…what ever happend to the contributor D’Arcy? I remember really enjoying her posts when I first happened upon this blog. Just noticed she’s off the sidebar of contributors (I generally get the feed delivered via google reader). Anyway, I miss her voice here!
Loved your ideas for last lesson. Anything for 29 yet.
anxious and waiting.
thanks for your help
Beverly, It will be up later this weekend. Sorry for the delay.
So did R.S. lesson #31 get skipped? I always appreciate the great ideas I get from this site.
Lesson 31 can be found here.
This is NOT a comment.
An administrative request; please update the upsite with the 2011 Retreat dates and details ( if possible) so the dates can be saved. Much appreciated.
Also, as I have a new email address, can I please be “subscribe” to the blog? Thanks again. Linda
I caught your comment somewhere on the blog about having served as a ?chaplain or chaplain’s assistant? at some time in the past, and I also caught your comment somewhere on the blog about the so-called curse of Cain. I know this may seem like a somewhat arcane question, but currently I am trying to ascertain about how many Black Mormon clinical chaplains — male and female — there might be in North America. Might you be able to guide me in how to find an answer to this question. Thank you for your assistance.
What are the RETREAT dates and place for 2011? I’ve been contacted by a few women who are trying to buy tickets (this far ahead and get good deals!) so they can come join us!! PLEASE ADVISE. Thanks, LGA
I would like to know why my comment is in moderation, All I did was state that I thought Nat Kelly was being dismissive of those of us who disagreed with an OP, if simply stating that is enough to get one to be placed in Moderation then seriously, I have seen much worse written an nothing gets put in moderation or even a warning, I guess when people are friends with other bloggers this is permissive?
Your comments were removed as part of a subthread that was started by an anonymous comment that was nothing more than an insult- and had *nothing* to do with the original post.
The entire subthread was off-topic and was removed to prevent further discussion on the issue.
I would like to make a suggestion for a future OP. This is something I’ve been thinking about and still trying to process, so, I’m sure its relevant to many members and former members alike. I would like to see an article written about the use of negative language applied toward members as a means of silencing them (i.e.) words like anti, apostate.
Can’t wait to see post on R.S. lesson #41. The lesson posts are always so thought provoking!
Denise, Both lesson 41 and 42 will be up on Tuesday. Sorry they are coming a little later than normal.
Just wondering when lesson 44 would be posted!! I’m struggling so much with this lesson, can’t wait for your wonderful insight and direction. Love your help!! Thanks again.
hey guys,
I’m wondering if something is wrong with how we get new OP pieces because my last OP is about the Divinity of Motherhood. I haven’t received any of the new ones. I know they are there because of the responses of people on the sidebar
Why is there no lesson outline for #47 Exaltation? I really enjoy your insights into the lessons and they really help me as a teacher in RS. So why miss the last lesson of the manual?
SPmom lesson #47 is here. We’re glad you find the posts useful!
I am so hopeful that you will continue with Lesson suggestions and ideas for 2012… your lessons here on Exponet have proven to be the greatest support for my delivering meaningful ideas and a fresh approach every month! Will you continue please?
I am also hoping for a continuation with lesson suggestions and ideas for 2012. It has been so very helpful to me. Will you continue please?
I am so excited to find this blog and the magazine. I found it by reading an article on Yahoo. I’ve only read one article so far but I feel like I’ve found other sisters who are like me. I’m a convert and I’ve had a really hard time adjusting to mormon life. In fact, we’ve been inactive for about three years and just started going back two weeks ago. I can’t wait to read more articles.
Erin,
Welcome. I know how it feels to find a community that you can identify with. I found that here a few years ago. Please feel free to comment on new or old threads, and if you feel the writing spirit, submit a guest blog post or an essay for the Exponent II publication.
Happy reading!
