Mailboxes

In the debate over what sorts of services the Us Post Office should be providing Harry Reid stated:

“And, talking about seniors — Seniors LOVE to get junk mail. It’s sometimes their only way of communicating or feeling they’re part of the real world.”

Hearing about how much the elderly love mail will always, always make me think of “The Mailbox.” And thinking about ‘The Mailbox’ always fills me with terrible terrible guilt.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go write my mom a letter.

Lol!! I watched that movie as a kid and just felt AWFUL.

As for junk mail… when I get elderly, I will still hate it, I am sure.

Me too. I might even hate it more. I only like the mail when packages from my mom or magazines come, and that’s not nearly as often as junk mail or bills.
