I joined the church in 1975 when I was in the Army. Had I read the original article, I can honestly say that I never would’ve joined such a sexist, misogynistic organization. The day-to-day operation of the church now is not different from back then, so I’m not sure why they “softened” the article with an Oopsie statement.
