That post on Martha’s Sacrament blew me away. I want to marry Wilfried! (no offense Mike)

    Deborah:
You have a high-traffic blog. A lot of people are reading Sister Colonna’s stake conference talk about being a single woman in the church.

Opponents to the church often accuse church leadership of being controlling and repressing. Yet I love the fact that rank-and-file members, including youth, speak at Sunday meetings and stake conferences with no prior review or approval of their talk.

    Deborah and all,
It is a little odd to know people I’ve never met are reading and responding to what I assumed would be a fleeting and ephemeral talk in church! Still, I’m glad. It was an energizing talk to give, for myself and others. Many people have, since hearing or reading it, shared amazing stories of their own trials and testimonies. And it has led me to some fascinating new blogspots like this one.
Thank you for the good comments and the community.

Thanks for stopping by — I hope you’ve gotten lots of positive feedback from the stake. I love the beautiful candor in your talk; I imagine it resonated with people across the spectrum. Oh, and if you ever want to do a guest post (hope hope) please contact us 🙂
